Empyreal Dreams, a different approach to Literature!

Featured in Second Life's Showcase, Empyreal Dreams is a very interesting sim. The result of the work of two creators, one based in England and one in the United Sates, it aims at creating a visualization of famous literature and poetry. It opened in November 2010 and it is a work in progress as more works are being prepared. When you teleport, you land in a Steampunkish teleportation area with several destinations available. Click the different posters to immerse yourself into the amazing world of words and how strong they can be.

The Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge

It is an ancient Mariner,
And he stoppeth one of three.
`By thy long grey beard and glittering eye,
Now wherefore stopp'st thou me?

The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe

The Bluebell by Emily Jane Brontë

The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air:
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit's care.

Les Misérables by Victor Hugo

In 1815, M. Charles-Francois-Bienvenu Myriel was Bishop of D—— He was an old man of about seventy-five years of age; he had occupied the see of D—— since 1806.
Although this detail has no connection whatever with the real substance of what we are about to relate, it will not be superfluous, if merely for the sake of exactness in all points, to mention here the various rumors and remarks which had been in circulation about him from the very moment when he arrived in the diocese.

The awesome photos were taken by London (applause!!) and you can read the beginning of each of the pieces of Literature featured right underneath the pics. London and I enjoyed this sim very much. Do drop by! To keep updated on Empyreal Dreams latest news, click here for the blog! This is a sim worth a visit for sure. Artistically very well conceived with extraordinary results, Empyreal Dreams invites its visitor to revisit classic pieces of literature. Congrats to its creators!
